I know... eBay?? Well, I just posted a poem there and got 4 responses automatically. Plus, I'm an avid shopper (at least I have been the past two weeks, unfortunately or fortunately, depending on your perspective). I'm happy with eBay--my eBay blog. I know that sounds weird. :S

The following spiritual principles are the bedrock on which creative recovery and discovery can be built. Read them through once a day, and keep an inner ear cocked for any shifts in attitudes or beliefs.
1. Creativity is the natural order of life. Life is energy: pure creative energy.

2. There is an underlying, in-dwelling creative force infusing all of life--including ourselves.

3. When we open ourselves to our creativity, we open ourselves to Sources's creativity within us and our lives.

4. We are, ourselves, creations [of life]. And we, in turn, are meant to continue creativity by being creative ourselves.

5. Creativity is [Sources's] gift to us. Using our creativity is our gift...

6. The refusal to be creative is self-will...

Why The Artist's Way?

I was asked many moons ago why I was working through The Artist's Way, a course in discovering and recovering one's creative self. To my dismay, I could not answer accurately. Lofty ideals and words were uttered: "I want to reach my full potential... I want to find the artist within." After the conversation ended, it occurred to me that I was blocked artistically and academically. I was blocked. I could not continue as I was, living a meager existence day by day. I did not want to live the rest of my life blocked--FOR WHATEVER REASON! I no longer wanted to come up with excuses as to why I was in the state I was in. The Artist's Way helps one soar artistically and psychologically; that is why I'm attempting to work through The Artist's Way.
